Private testing for coronavirus will be offered in some Jersey pharmacies from this week.
The PCR tests will cost £175 for adults or children, with results available within 72 hours, according to provider LV Pharmacy.
The kits will be sourced from the UK, and will be administered by a qualified health professional.
Samples will be returned to a UK lab for results, LV said.
In June the same company launched a private antibody testing programme in some of the island’s pharmacies.
Nick Bettany, CEO of LV Care Group, said the initiative would widen the capacity for those who don’t currently meet government testing criteria.
Beresford Street, Queens Road Pharmacy on Queens Road, and Reids Pharmacies on New Street, Charing Cross, Longueville, the Lido Medical Centre and Bagatelle Road will all offer the PCR test.
