An abuse survivor who created a petition to stop a memorial to child abuse victims has accused the Government of ignoring abuse survivors wishes of not wanting the memorial. And pushing ahead with the Memorial for political reasons only.
Thirteen victims of abuse in children’s homes in Jersey have given Jersey Peeps their statements on their thoughts of the memorial.
The petition that has over 2,658 votes has been ignored by Sam Mezec who is still pushing ahead with a memorial in the shape of a possible children’s park or other such theme that is still to be decided.
Statements from abuse survivors all of which wish to remain anonymous can be read below, these messages have been shared with the blessing of each survivor.
